Gopher's Story

Gopher is a 7 month old golden chinchilla British Shorthair. She and her sisters were relinquished to our rescue by a breeder because they had upper respiratory infections as kittens. Gopher resembles the little gopher from the Caddyshack movie! She is bigger than her sisters by about 4-5 pounds. The girls were fostered with other cats and 2 small breed dogs, they would thrive in any home environment. We are only accepting applications from people who have owned, cared for and been financially responsible for a cat at some point in their adult life. We will also be calling vet clinics to make sure adopters’ past and present pets see a vet every year for an annual exam and recommended vaccines.
