Goose has been lucky enough to spend the last several weeks in a foster home! Here is what her foster mom has to say about her - "Goose is a sweetheart who loves head pets. She purrs easily with this attention. Goose is intelligent and a curious climber who will find the best high spots to hang out on. She is not a lap cat and does not like to be picked up and held; however, her affection translates at bedtime as she loves to cuddle in bed. She explored with confidence and found her spots to hang out in my house. Eventually, she took to the cardboard scratch pad and uses it regularly. Mountain Humane's Adoption Policy

Any visitor to the shelter interested in adopting one of the animals is asked to fill out a brief adoption application. In conjunction with the application, we interview all potential adopters with the goal of matching the right animal with the right family and lifestyle. This is of prime importance - we endeavor to make this new home the animal's residence for life! All adoptable animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Fees are as follows: Puppies: $250 Dogs: $150 Senior & Special Needs Dogs: $75 Pure Bred Dogs w/AKC Papers: $500 Kittens: $100 (the second one is free!) Cats: $50 Senior or Special Needs Cats: $25 Barn Cats: $0 Ferret or Chinchilla: $50 Hamsters or Mice: $10 Rabbits: $25
