Gomez's Story

Gomes is a friendly, affectionate cat put outside and left to fend for himself.

Gomez is estimated to be around 7-9 years old, tested FIV-positive, most likely from fights that occur between unneutered male cats competing for territory. He's now neutered and absolutely thriving in his new, relaxed indoor lifestyle.

Unfortunately, because of his FIV status, many people hesitate to adopt them-but that fear is often based on outdated information.

Did you know?

Cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy lives. FIV is not easily transmitted-it is spread mainly through deep bite wounds, not through sharing food bowls, grooming, or normal day-to-day contact. Many FIV-positive cats live peacefully with other cats, especially when everyone is spayed or neutered. With regular vet care, good nutrition, and a low-stress indoor environment, FIV cats often live just as long as cats without FIV.

Gomez is proof of that. He's a gentle, loving boy who is ready to trade survival mode for safety, warmth, and a family of his own. All he needs is someone willing to give him a chance.

If you adopt Gomez you won't just be saving a life-you'll be gaining a loyal, grateful companion.
