Golf's Story

Hi there, my name is Golf, a young male cat looking for my forever family! Ideally, Id love to live in a home where there are already other feline friends, because I really enjoy their company.

Im a rather timid little cat, especially around strangers. Ill need a patient family who will take the time to help me come out of my shell and work with me at my own pace. Around humans, I tend to freeze or go hide. To help manage my anxiety, I take gabapentin, which helps me a lot.

The good news is that Im already making progress! With treats, Ill let people pet me and Im slowly learning that humans can be kind. Im also very food-motivated and need stimulation to really thrive.

With other cats, Im completely in my element: I love playing with them and snuggling up close. Its actually my favourite activity! The toy I like best is my little mouse. Im litter-trained, and with time, patience, and lots of love, Ill become a wonderful companion.

Please note that I have a mild heart condition, but it doesnt prevent me from living a normal life and Im doing very well. I do have a heart murmur that has already been investigated, and the good news is that I dont need medication and its nothing alarming! The volunteers who will do the follow-up calls will be able to tell you more about the diagnosis.

So, are you ready to give a former stray a chance—one whos already starting to get used to the safety of a home?
