Goldie (Sponsored)'s Story
Age: 2 Year
Weight: 9LBS
Fee: $0
Health: FIV+

Goldie is a beautiful, bright, and sensitive calico who is ready for the stable, loving home she has always deserved. She has moved in and out of several homes in her short life, and that instability has made her nervous—but with patience and consistency, she blossoms into an incredibly sweet and loyal companion.

Goldie is also very smart. She quickly learns routines and knows exactly where her safe spot is—she’ll run right to it without hesitation. This clever girl wants nothing more than to feel secure and understood.

She thrives in a calm, quiet environment. Busy homes, dogs, and young children are too overwhelming for her. She has lived peacefully with a male cat before, but she has not done well with female cats, so she would do best as the only pet or with one calm, friendly male cat.

Goldie bonds deeply with her person and would love someone who is home more often than not. After so much instability, she is finally ready to not be lonely anymore. She enjoys interactive play—especially wand toys—and loves sitting by a window to watch the world go by.

Goldie is FIV+, but she can live a long, healthy, happy life with regular vet care and a low-stress home.

If you’re a patient, quiet, cat-savvy person looking for a devoted companion who will return your love tenfold, Goldie may be the perfect match. She is so ready for her forever.

At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at no additional cost.

No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals!
We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion.

Want to Know if I’m Still Available?
Call the shelter at (989)-835-1877 to confirm my availability. If you’d like to show you’re thinking about adopting, please fill out an application on our website under "Adopt" at www.hsomc.org.

Open Adoption Hours:

Tuesday & Wednesday: Noon – 6 pm

Thursday & Friday: Noon – 7 pm

Saturday: Noon – 4 pm

I’m located at the Humane Society of Midland County, 4371 E Ashman St, Midland, MI 48642.

We can’t wait to meet you and help you find your new best friend!
