I'm Goldie. I came to Good Home from Animal Care Centers of NYC. I was pretty sick when I arrived and very scared. People say I was a "surrender" but not much else is known about me... I don't think about that though, because I'm enjoying life now!

When I first got to my foster mama's home, I hid in my carrier for a couple weeks. I'll still hide if strangers come around to visit, but now that I know my person will keep me safe, I come out to meet people more quickly. I LOVE spending time with my foster mama. She taught me how to play with the wand toy. I could play with the wand toy all day!

I like to talk to foster mama. I ask her what she's doing and gently remind her to pat me. Being held isn't really my thing, but I love being near foster mama so she can give me belly scratches (a recent discovery!). I'm an excellent bedtime buddy, too - I'll sleep quietly at the foot of the bed and won't wake you up. But I'll be sure to tell you, "Good morning!" when you do get up.

And while I enjoy being with my person, I'm good at entertaining myself too. If my person is working or goes out, I'll go play with my other toys by myself. I recently got a cat tunnel and boy do I love it.

Foster mama helped Good Home figure out that my health is best on a special diet and now that we have that sorted out I feel very well and look great!

I'm currently doing great as a single cat, and as long as my person plays with me and give me attention and is patient with me. I would be perfectly happy in a home that's just me. Forever home, are you there?

To meet or adopt Goldie, please submit a Q&A for her on our website: http://goodhomepetadoptions.org/adopt We are not able to reply to DMs, emails or inquiries made through 3rd party pet adoption websites.
-----
GOOD HOME is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
