Godiva's Story

After a successful career as a top-tier mom, Godiva is officially hanging up her "mom hat" and ready to live the good life - naps, snacks, and snuggles included.
Godiva is a young, playful beauty who loves to be petted and purrs like a little motorboat the moment you say hello. She's fantastic with other cats (total social butterfly) and is cautiously optimistic about dogs -tail-waggers can be okay too. While laps and cuddles were a mystery at first, Godiva is starting to warm up to the idea of being held and doted on - we think she's secretly into it. She's the kind of cat who'll gently head-bonk you, chase a toy with kitten-like glee, and then nap in a sunny window like she's living her best spa life.
Godiva is FIV+, but as long as she stays indoors and receives regular check-ups, she can still live a long and happy life. FIV is only transmitted between cats and usually through aggressive behavior - like biting. Check with your vet if you have any concerns about adding an FIV+ cat to your crew.
Now that her mom duties are done, Godiva is ready for a forever home where she can be loved for the sweet, silly, lovable cat she is. Adopt Godiva and give her the happy-ever-after she truly deserves - now it's her turn to be the baby.
Adopters have 30 days of free access to 1-on-1 text and email support from behaviorists at Petcademy to help make every pet's transition into their new home as smooth as possible. All cats available for adoption have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and are current on all vaccinations. Please email cats@henricohumane.org for more information.
