The phenobarb level should be checked in about 3-4 weeks time from starting the phenobarb ( will need to refill phenobarb for a longer duration). If the cat is not responding well to the phenobarb and there are continuing seizures then may need to discuss further anti seizure meds . If continued worsening of the seizures then can consider neurology referral and possible testing for Toxoplasmosis.<br/><br/>When the seizures are reasonably well controlled ( 1 seizure per month) we can consider spay and umbilical hernia repair
