Glacier's Story

Glacier is a big white female cat with pale blue-green eyes who came to the shelter on 11/24/24 at 10.5 lbs. estimated to be about 6 years old. She and another white cat, a male, were rescued from a terrible situation. Their owner died so the neighbor who has a touch of dementia took the cats and put them in a cage in his freezing cold barn to "safe-guard" them for weeks. He fed and watered them but there was no litter box or blanket in the tiny cage. His relative found the cats and brought them to us, filthy and terrified. Glacier came around and is friendly and enjoys attention, though she sleeps a lot. The other one is so traumatized due to it's former life and weeks of neglect, he needs more work to get him to come around. Glacier though, has been vaccinated, tested for FELV/FIV (negative) and spayed and is now ready for adoption. Won't you consider opening your heart and home to a lovely cat that has been through a terrible time? These photos were taken 1/25/25. Email lakecountryspca@yahoo.com or call (434) 374-8076 about adoption. Website info. is at lakecountryspca.org. Visit LCSPCA at 11764 Hwy. 15, Clarksville, VA Mon-Sat from 12-4pm when we are open for walk-in adopters.
