Gizmo & Gracie's Story
Double the trouble and double the love these calico twins are on the hunt for their new home together.

Gizmo (black nose) and Gracie (pink nose) are sisters born July 4, 2020. They came to SPSPCA in June 2025 for their second chance when they could no longer stay in their previous home. Having arrived overweight and with dental disease, their foster has spent a lot of time with them and helped get their health back on track. They’re ready to settle into a forever home for all the best years ahead!

Gizmo and Gracie are very social and sweet. They have a strong love of food (maybe too much because they’re both on a diet and cannot be trusted to free feed from overfilled bowls). Both come with loud purrs and lots of affection. They constantly seek love and attention from their favorite people. They both still play like kittens when a wand or string appears overhead. Both are equally silly. Gracie likes to roll around on the floor. Gizmo is first come up for pets and happy to come in close and curl up in your lap. Still, they prefer not to be picked up. These sisters like to hang out with people, but they are bonded to each other and want most to be together. They like to eat, sleep, play, and always be side by side. Like any sisters, they can fight (especially when hangry at meal time), but they quickly calm down for a nap together.

These sisters would both shine in a family of their own, but they prefer a family of adults (or at least kids over 12). They don't really like being around small children and will hide from toddlers. Despite how much they love each other, they don’t like to share with other cats, and they are not open to new feline friends. They have experience living with a small dog and are more willing to entertain canine siblings in the future.

Gizmo and Gracie were declawed by their previous owner. This lack of defense may be part of why they don’t get along with other cats. It does not seem to currently cause them any pain or discomfort. They are also spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Their adoption fee as a pair is $100. They are wishing for a Christmas miracle of a new home for the holidays! If that could be yours, contact adoptions.spspca@gmail.com to set up a meeting or learn more.
