Gizmo's Story
Cincinnati /Northern KY

Gizmo is a male black short haired adult cat who has a lovely nurturing spirit. When he was rescued years ago, he was malnourished and had a severe eye infection to the point where we thought he might lose his eye. He got expert vet care and recovered. Today, his eye flairs up occasionally (eye herpes, a common eye ailment in cats), requiring eye drops or ointment. His peripheral vision is slightly affected due to the infection he had, especially in his left eye.

Gizmo loves enrichment. He is a hunter. If you hide little mouse toys once or twice a day, he finds them and vocalizes in his hunting sound that he has found one. He is very proud of this. Sometimes he even purposefully places them, like in your shoe or in the food bowl.

He can be a "fast eater", so it's important to monitor how quickly he eats to avoid stomach upset, but it's not every time he eats. It is just something we want his owners to be aware of.

Gizmo's personality is wonderful. He is a cuddler in your arms and will follow you around! He likes to look out windows and is very playful. He will even sleep in bed with you. He is nurturing with other cats in the home and is good with kids too.

If you think Gizmo would do great in your home, please apply!
