Hi. I’m Gizmo.

I have been informed that I am supposed to write an adoption bio.

This seems suspicious.

You see, my sister Gremlin and I started life outdoors. Back then, humans were mostly giant creatures that appeared unexpectedly and made life complicated. Because of that, trust doesn’t come naturally to me.

I’m working on it, though.

Every day I get a little braver. Every day I spend a little more time watching the humans instead of hiding from them. Every day I get a little more curious about this whole “being a house cat” thing.

Petting? Well... we’re still negotiating.

Sometimes I think I might like it.

Sometimes I think I definitely don’t.

Sometimes I let the humans get close just so I can gather more information for my research project.

The important thing is that I’m trying.

The important thing is that I’m trying.

What I need most is someone who understands that trust is something earned, not demanded. I’m not the kind of kitten who’s going to run up and jump into your lap on day one. In fact, I may spend a while observing you from a safe distance while I decide whether you’re trustworthy.

But when I choose to trust someone, it’s because they’ve shown me patience, kindness, and respect.

I’m playful, curious, and much braver than I used to be. I love other cats, and I especially love my sister, Gremlin. We’ve been through everything
