Ginger and Daisy started life the hard way. These bonded sisters once lived feral, surviving among trash and debris, relying on each other just to make it through each day. For a long time, humans were something to avoid.<br/><br/>Not anymore.<br/><br/>Since being rescued, Ginger and Daisy have completely rewritten their story. What began as cautious curiosity has turned into full-on affection. These girls now absolutely know what attention is — and they expect it. Pets, company, conversation… they’re here for all of it.<br/><br/>Ginger does have a mild neurological condition that causes an occasional head shake and some limited hearing. It does not affect her quality of life. She eats well, gets around just fine, and is just as affectionate and demanding as her sister — she simply experiences the world a little differently.<br/><br/>Daisy is confident, loving, and often right there encouraging Ginger. Mercy Rescue and Adoption's Adoption Policy
Adoption Process: If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please complete an application. Application can be found at http://www.mercyrescueandadoption.com/adopt-a-pet.html. Completing an application does not hold the pet for you. A visit can be arranged to meet the prospective pet after an application is on file. A home-visit will be required. We check personal references and vet references prior to all adoptions. All of our animals are spayed/neutered before they are adopted. Approval of any application is at the discretion of the Animal Shelter volunteers, and will be made in the interests of finding the best permanent home for our animals. You must be at least 18 years old to adopt a pet. No animal will be adopted to persons that have a confirmed history of neglect or abuse of animals. No animal will be adopted to persons that have a repeat history of losing, giving away, selling, or having animals injured or killed. Only dogs that are physically and temperamentally suited to living outdoors will be adopted as outside dogs. Dogs that are adopted as outside pets must have a fenced or an adequately sized enclosed area to live in and suitable shelter.
