Meet Gin

Gin came to us after his family could no longer care for him and his brother, Tonic. They were initially rescued from the scary outdoors as tiny kittens and are quite happy with the luxuries of indoor life. Gin and Tonic are bonded and are looking for a loving home together.

Gin is a very sweet boy, about 2 1/2 years old. He has a gorgeous fluffy grey and white coat. Brushing will help Gin maintain his handsome long coat. It’s also a great way to bond with your new furry family member.

Gin is shy at first, especially in new surroundings. When he gets scared, he will hide under the bed or look to his brother for reassurance. Your patience will be rewarded when he learns to trust you. Then he shows his affectionate side, and will jump up for pets and cuddle time. Once he’s comfortable, Gin is a friendly little guy!

Another way to bond with your new kitty is through play. Gin’s favorites are wand toys. He loves to chase and pounce on his toys. He also loves squeeze treats, sleeping in the sun, and cuddling with his brother, Tonic. They would enjoy a nice tall cat tree for climbing and scratching, and of course, nap time.

Gin gets along with other cats. We haven’t seen Gin with dogs yet, and we aren’t sure about how he would be with small children. Since he needs a bit of time to grow comfortable and trusting, a quieter home is best for Gin.

If you are interested in adopting these two brothers, please send in an application from our website.

Note: Orange Street Cats is currently following a foster-to-adopt model in place of an in-person meeting prior to adoption. You will provide a foster home to the cat you are interested in adopting for a trial period. This gives you and your family an opportunity to be sure this is a good fit before you make the commitment to adopt. Our adoption team is available during and after the transition period to make sure our adopters and our cats are happy together!
