Gigi's Story

Meet Gigi, a friendly, silly, energetic young cat who loves being around people! She is approximately 1 and 1/2 years old.

This affectionate short-haired calico girl loves spending time with people, and wants to casually be in the same room as you at all times. She is a bundle of energy, and loves doing acrobatics in pursuit of feather toys and sliding around the floor chasing plastic springs. When playtime is over her soft side comes out as she purrs and makes biscuits on your legs or curls up in your lap. Her silly personality includes an affinity for wriggling around on the floor, drinking water from the faucet, and napping on top of the fridge. Her other hobbies include head-butting her brush and slurping Churu treats. She thrives as a single cat as long as she has human companion(s) to keep her company. She enjoys being the center of attention and making friends with new humans.

This gorgeous green-eyed queen was born in Hawaii and brought to Seattle earlier this year. Sadly, it appears she was abandoned by her previous owner and we found her wandering the streets of Seattle. Her majesty's throne is now the window cat bed where she can watch her subjects (and the birds!) while basking in the sunshine.

Gigi is FIV positive. With regular vet checkups and indoor-only life, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives (note that FIV is unrelated to FeLV). The current research shows that peaceful co-habitation of FIV+ and FIV- cats is not detrimental to the cats' long term health (ask your vet about your specific situation).

What Gigi is looking for in a home:

- She has lots of energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- She needs to live indoors only.
- She has no known history with other cats.
- She has no known history with dogs.
- She has no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Thank you for your interest in adopting Gigi! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt her by filling out this questionnaire: https://bit.ly/ACPAdoptionForm

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match.

Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
