GiGi ***Bonded to Rex***'s Story
Hi there, My name is GiGi!

I came into rescue back in 2020 after I was found as a kitten living in a warehouse. Sadly, not too long after, I was diagnosed with FIP, a deadly cat virus that used to have no cure. Well, luckily, my foster mama had found out about a treatment that was still in the trial phase but she knew it was my only option. She had lost many to this horrible disease and was not about to loose me too. Well, thank goodness for that treatment because it worked! I made a full recovery! And after me, my foster mom was able to save so many more too!

I’m honored to have been her first FIP survivor, but sadly, no one seemed to want me after such thing. The treatment took 3 months and so by the time it was over, my brother had been adopted and I was now past my prime adoption age window. Fast forward one year and I am still here waiting for my special someone.

I’m pretty quiet and shy around new people, so I found my very special forever brother in another shy foster cat, Rex. He helped comfort me all the way through my FIP treatment. I can’t imagine going anywhere without him now. So we are now both waiting for our very special, gentle human who will be willing to give us a chance.

Could that be you?

***TO APPLY: Please go through https://www.wonkyheartsanimalhaven.org/adoptions (Also the link provided on the next page) and fill out the application on our website.
