Georgie's Story
Hi… my name is Georgie

I’m only two months old, and the world has already felt a little too big for me. I’m a fluffy tiger girl with medium-to-long fur, maybe a little Maine coon in me, and a heart that wants so badly to feel safe. I arrived here December 10th, and I am here because I was labeled “spicy.” I don’t think I’m spicy though… I think I was/am just scared.

Everything was new. New smells, new hands, new sounds. I didn’t know who to trust yet. When you’re tiny and unsure, sometimes you puff up and hide because it’s the only way you know how to say, “Please don’t hurt me.”

What I really need is time, patience, and love.

I will do best when I have another friendly dog or cat around—someone kind who can show me that humans aren’t so scary, that cuddles can be nice, and that I don’t have to be brave all by myself. With the right furry friend and a gentle human, I know I’ll learn to trust and blossom into the sweet girl I’m meant to be. So I want a home with a mother friendly pet to help me.

I’m beautiful, soft, and still learning how this whole “family” thing works. I just need someone willing to see past my fear and give me a chance to feel safe.

Adoption applications are open now, and I’ll be ready for my forever home mid to late January. If you have a calm heart, a loving home, and a friendly pet who can help guide me, I promise I’ll try my very best.

Love, Georgie

If interested please go to our web site and fill out an adoption application at: thepetrefuge.org and print and fill it out and email back to ShelterManager@thepetrefuge.org.. Filling out a adoption application is the first step.. . Currently, visits to the shelter are by appointment only for approved applications, so please fill out an application, then email it into us .
