Georgie's Story
FIP SURVIVOR!
Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is a devastating, historically fatal disease in cats caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus, typically affecting cats aged six months to five years. It causes severe, widespread inflammation, presenting in "wet" (fluid buildup in chest/abdomen), "dry" (organ inflammation), or combined forms. While once considered untreatable, antiviral medications have made FIP manageable!

Georgie was treated for 'wet' FIP from November 2025 to Feb 2026.
And he's feeling great!

Before he started his daily treatment, Georgie was very shy, disliked being touched, and didn't want anyone to see him eat. Nowadays, he seems to have a brighter outlook on life. While he's still nervous with new people, the key to his heart is through his stomach. He loves food and the hand that feeds, but his caracal ear tuffs are a good indication that he will not be ignored if treats are in the equation.
