Georgie's Story

Absolutely. Here’s the complete revised version with the small, gentle, cat-friendly dog included.

Meet Georgie — The Sweetest Gentleman

Georgie is an approximately 11-year-old Siamese Snowshoe mix who weighs about 10 pounds, and “gentleman” may be the perfect word for him. This sweet boy is truly an angel of a cat.

Georgie loves people. He loves being held, curling up in a lap, being brushed, and simply spending time with his person. He purrs, makes biscuits, and has that wonderful people-oriented personality Siamese lovers know so well. He’s so trusting and easygoing that you can even clean his ears without a complaint! He still enjoys a little playtime, too, but mostly Georgie seems happiest when he knows he is loved and safe.

And safe is exactly what this boy deserves.

Georgie apparently once belonged to someone, but he was allowed to roam outside. Neighbors began feeding him, and over time he was being bullied by other cats and becoming increasingly stressed. Some caring young women in the neighborhood became concerned about him and reached out for help. Thankfully, Georgie was rescued from that situation and is now living safely indoors, where he is robust, happy, and doing wonderfully.

Georgie has been neutered, vaccinated, and recently had a dental cleaning. He does have some chronic herpes-related irritation in his eyes, which is managed with eye drops.

Georgie is also FeLV-positive (feline leukemia virus positive). The encouraging news is that Georgie is a senior boy who is currently in very good health and has apparently managed the virus well for many years. His veterinarian feels he has done an excellent job of holding the virus in check. Of course, no one can predict the future for any FeLV-positive cat, but Georgie is certainly enjoying his life today—and he has a whole lot of love left to give.

Because Georgie is FeLV-positive, his ideal home would be indoors only, either as the only cat, with other FeLV-positive cats, or with a small, gentle, cat-friendly dog. Most of all, he needs a kind, loving home where someone will appreciate what an extraordinarily affectionate companion he is.

After spending so much of his life outside and fending for himself, Georgie deserves something very simple now:

A warm lap. A soft bed. A gentle hand. And a person who will love him for however many wonderful years they are lucky enough to share.

If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet senior gentleman, Georgie is waiting to meet you.
