Georgia's Story

Three G's: Gorgeous Girl Georgia! This 4 yr old beauty's story reminds us that humans sometimes disappoint, but animals never do. Georgia was one of two cats owned by a couple who then adopted a puppy. Miss G was not enamored of the rambunctious puppy, so her owners tossed her outside. She's SUCH a nice cat - and loves the big dog in her foster home - it's inconceivable that anyone would betray her that way. Fortunately a neighbor in the apartment complex is a cat lover and took Georgia in until a foster home could be found. Despite being abandoned by the people she thought she could rely on, Georgia is very affectionate and willing to give us humans a second chance! She is fully vetted, good with other cats, and ready for a new start -- with a person or family who will appreciate her.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
