Gees's Story

Meet Gees! (Rhymes with bees.) Gees is a stunner with one fabulous feature you'll notice right away - she has heterochromia, aka her eyes are two different colors! This is really unusual in cats that aren't solid white, but it's only a small part of her charm. Gees is a sassy, spunky girl. She's never mean, but she has opinions, and she will - gently - make you aware of them at all times. She has a cute little meow when she wants something, which climbs in volume if she isn't getting her way (or if we pick her up; she only wants to be transported in style).

Gees is extremely food-motivated, and will be your best friend for a churro or a bit of wet food. (You can tell by her gut that we can't often resist her.) She is a very affectionate, sweet girl, and loves to be a lapcat. When she was fostered to help her recover from a brief illness, she would purr and want to cuddle even after getting her meds. She even purred at the vet! She is a low-key kitty who would be a perfect couch companion.

Today Gees is large-and-in-charge, but it hasn't always been that way. She actually came to us because the other cats in her colony were constantly beating her up and leaving deep wounds that needed vet care. Gees is FIV+, probably from one of these fights. FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives as indoor-only pets, but generally we don't recommend they live with FIV- cats due to the risk of transmission. Gees would prefer to be a single girl anyway.

We think Gees would be fine in a home with older, gentle children. She has not been tested with dogs.

Gees is estimated to be 7 years old as of May 2026. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application, her adoption fee is $80.

If you are interested in adopting this particular dog or puppy, please see our Adoption Guidelines at http://www.humanesocietyall.com/applications/ .
