Gecko's Story

Gecko came to us after her beloved owner passed away, and she’s still learning how to navigate this big new world. At first glance, you’ll notice her incredible permanent grump face — truly one of the best we’ve seen in a long time. She looks like she disapproves of everything, but we promise… it’s just her face. Gecko is a shy girl who takes her time getting comfortable, but she absolutely adores the company of gentle, friendly cats. She would thrive in a calm, quiet household with a confident kitty friend to show her the ropes and remind her that being a cat is actually pretty great. Once Gecko feels safe, her sweet side starts to shine. She’s litter box trained, estimated to be between 3–5 years old, and just needs a patient home willing to let her blossom at her own pace. If you have a peaceful home and a kind resident cat looking for a quiet companion, Gecko might be your girl. Bisbee Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

We ask that you meet the animal in person to help ensure that it's a good match for both of you. You will need to fill out an application, with at least 3 personal references and a vet reference. We usually approve or deny the adoption within 24 to 48 hours. Our adoptions are not first come first served, but are based on what is the best fit for the animal and potential pet parent. We may receive multiple applications for the same animal. The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $60 which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and microchip registration. The adoption fee for dogs is $75 which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and microchip registration. The adoption fee for puppies is $100 which also includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and microchip registration.
