Gary Lou's Story
Meet Gary Lou

Gary Lou was born and raised in a feral cat colony - the outdoors was all he ever knew.

When cats in his colony began disappearing, we knew we had to step in. And when you've lived your whole life in survival mode, that kind of change can feel overwhelming.

Gary Lou is a very scared boy - but he is a very good boy.

He will hiss when he feels uncomfortable. It's not aggression. It's fear. It's his way of saying he's unsure. Beneath that fear is a gentle soul with the most expressive face - you can see every emotion written in his eyes.

He doesn't seem to mind the other cats. In fact, he often looks toward them for reassurance. At the same time, he's perfectly content being solitary. He would do best in a very quiet home where there isn't a lot of traffic or chaos.

Gary Lou is looking for:

A calm, low-stimulation home
Someone patient and understanding
Possibly a quiet feline companion
A safe space to just exist and feel secure

He was part of TNR - that's why his ear is tipped, his little badge of honor from his colony days.

Gary Lou is:
Neutered
Microchipped
Negative for FIV & FeLV
Up-to-date on vaccines
Examined by a veterinarian
Dewormed
On flea/tick prevention

He survived life outdoors.
