Garrison's Story
Hi there… my name is Garrison!
I’m a very handsome brown tabby and white gentleman with deep chocolate swirls all through my coat, an adorably unique face, and (if I do say so myself) a very boopable nose.

I came to the sanctuary a couple of years ago, and back then… I was feral. Very, very afraid of humans. I didn’t trust easily, and I needed space, patience, and a whole lot of understanding. The humans here gave me exactly that, time, love, gentle voices, and honestly… a lot of food. Slowly, I learned that people weren’t so scary after all.

Now? I’m a completely different boy.

These days I love human affection. I enjoy being petted, soaking up attention, and I’m often one of the very first door greeters when visitors arrive. If I’m comfortable with you, I may even hop right into your lap. That’s a big deal for a guy like me.

When I go to a new home, my future family will need to understand that I’ll be scared at first. I will hide. I’ll need time to adjust and feel safe. Food and patience will be the key to my heart when I’m coming out of my shell, but once I do, I promise I’m worth the wait.

Speaking of food… I am very food motivated. Lickable treats are my absolute favorite, and I can spot them from a mile away. I also love catnip toys, playtime, and snuggling up with my feline friends. I would do best in a home with another cat companion to keep me company.

I am considered a special needs kitty. I recently had all of my teeth removed due to a condition called stomatitis, which means my body thought my teeth and gums were the enemy. Because of that, I’ll need to be on medication (steroids) for the rest of my life to keep me comfortable. This is very important for my new family to continue. The good news? I eat just like a normal cat and still enjoy all kinds of food and treats.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate boy with a beautiful soul, a gentle heart, and a story of resilience, I might just be your guy.
You can come meet me any day between 1–5pm to see if I’m meant to be part of your family.

I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.

I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.

If you are interested in adopting Garrison, please message us on Facebook at Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary or email us at FurballFarmCatSanctuary@gmail.com
