Garfunkel (Simone)'s Story
Garfunkel (Simone): Born ~5/19/2025, M, Ragdoll/long hair Siamese
Bonded pair. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please fill out an Adoption Application, which can be found at https://purebredsplus.org/Our Cats .

Hi there! My name is Garfunkel, and my foster mom says I am a seriously special boy! Mom says I was born with a neurological condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which is really just a fancy way of saying I am a 'wobbly kitty.' Cerebellar hypoplasia or more commonly called CH, a noncontagious, nonprogressive condition that causes problems with balance and coordination but live long happy lives just like other kitties. The good news is that it my condition isn't painful or difficult for me, I just do some things a bit differently than other kitties do. In fact, I don't really know I am different at all! I can walk and run, and don't need help going potty, though sometimes I do not use my low-sided litter box and prefer to use a pee pad instead. Mom says I am a very happy boy, love to be cuddled, pet and, will play with anyone! I am not shy at all and don't know a stranger; I will wobble right up to anyone and introduce myself.

Wobbly kitties may look a little unusual and be some extra work, but they make the most amazing companions! One of the best things about them is their nature. As many CH kitty owners say, these cats are some of the sweetest, bravest kitties ever.

Garfunkel is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
