Garfield's Story

Garfield – Male – Ginger Kitten

Garfield is a sweet, curious little ginger boy with a heart full of love and a motor that starts purring almost instantly. He’s playful and adventurous, but always likes to keep his people (and his brother!) within sight. You’ll often find him perched in a cat tree watching the world through the window or lounging nearby just to keep tabs on what’s going on.

Garfield has the tiniest meow, and if he wanders off and realizes he’s alone, a quick call will send him running right back. He adores head and nose bumps, full-body massages, shoulder hugs, and neck snuggles—basically all forms of affection. Toys are a big hit, especially ball track toys, wand toys, lasers, and anything he can climb, chase, or dive through (cat tunnels are a favorite!).

He enjoys wet food, dry food, and squeeze-up treats, gets along well with other cats, and does well with patient children. He hasn’t been introduced to dogs yet. Garfield would love to be adopted with his best buddy and brother, Gunner, but could also thrive adopted on his own into a loving home with a feline friend.

Garfield is neutered, microchipped, FVRCP vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

!!! Completion of the application and interview process does not guarantee an adoption approval or guarantee the adoption of a particular cat or kitten. Desert Paws Rescue is a privately run, all-volunteer, non-profit organization and reserves the right to refuse any adoption that is not in the best interest of the cat or kitten, based on our principles, policies, and standards. Desert Paws Rescue will determine the best home for each cat or kitten based on the application and interview process. After review of the adoption consultation form and the completion of the interview with a Desert Paws representative, Desert Paws Rescue may recommend a different cat or kitten that is more suitable to your household.
