But his wounds are healing up, and this guy is ready to be someone's best buddy. Garfield is such a sweetheart! He's very friendly and loves attention almost as much as he loves having a full bowl of food! He's a big mellow guy and he will be such a fun and loving companion. Garfield is 7 years old. <br/><br/>Garfield tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which is a life-long disease that keeps his immune system lowered. You can find more information on this virus at https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus. FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives just like FIV- cats. Our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV and feline leukemia. <br/><br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary.
