Garfield's Story

Garfield is a handsome 6-year-old gentleman with a beautiful orange coat and perfectly matching golden eyes that seem to glow with warmth. Life recently took an unexpected turn for this sweet boy, and due to unforeseen circumstances, he is now searching for a loving new home where he can begin his next chapter.

Garfield is currently settling into a new environment with other cats and dogs, and he's doing his best to adjust as he learns that new beginnings can still be full of love. With each day, his personality shines a little brighter, and we're excited to continue discovering just how special he truly is.

We'll be sharing updates as Garfield grows more comfortable and shows us more of his charming spirit. Please continue to follow his journey and cheer him on as he looks for the forever home he deserves.

Garfield is FIV+, but as long as he stays indoors and receives regular check-ups, he can still live a long and happy life. FIV is only transmitted between cats and usually through aggressive behavior - like biting. Check with your vet if you have any concerns about adding an FIV+ cat to your crew.

Adopters have 30 days of free access to 1-on-1 text and email support from behaviorists at Petcademy to help make every pet's transition into their new home as smooth as possible. All cats available for adoption have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and are current on all vaccinations. Please email cats@henricohumane.org for more information.
