Garbanzo Bean's Story
Meet Garbanzo Bean!

Garbanzo Bean is a gorgeous long-haired gray and white tuxedo boy with striking gold eyes. Rescued by us in the summer of 2020, this affectionate bottle-baby was adopted at just three months old. Unfortunately, his previous family couldn’t provide the love and care he deserves, so he was returned to us a few months ago, around his 4th birthday.

Garbanzo is a calm and gentle cat who is truly looking for a loving home. He gets along well with dogs and would be a wonderful companion in a quiet household with a small to medium-sized dog, or even as an only pet! However, he has some litter box habits that need attention. After being confined to small spaces and using a cramped litter box, Garbanzo developed the habit of pooping just outside the box on a pee pad. While he still uses the litter box for peeing, pooping outside the box has become an ingrained behavior and will require patience and consistent training to help him break the habit.

Although we’re unsure of Garbanzo's past experiences, he is still decompressing and learning to trust again. He enjoys lying on the bed next to his person and being gently stroked on his back. With time and care, Garbanzo’s loving nature will shine through.

Garbanzo is a bit nervous around other cats and would do best as the only feline in a household. He needs a patient, understanding adopter who is committed to helping him re-learn proper litter box habits. A non-carpeted area or a catio would be ideal for him to adjust and break his current habits.

Garbanzo is up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and negative for FIV/FeLV. He has been fully vetted and has no underlying health issues. He is searching for a quiet, loving home where he can feel safe and thrive. If you think you could be the special person to offer Garbanzo the love and patience he deserves, please apply today!
