Galway's Story
An approved adoption application is required to meet me in my foster home -- fill out an application today! Our mailing address is Reston, VA and our cats fostered in NoVA and DC homes.
Washington, D.C.- Suburban Virginia/Maryland Area inquiries only, please!

Some cats find each other in the most unexpected ways—and when they do, it’s something special. Meet Galway and her surrogate father Benito.

Galway is a 9-week-old orange tabby kitten who started life with two siblings...until they were adopted, leaving her suddenly alone in a big, confusing world. At just the right moment, along came Benito.

Benito is an adult orange tabby with the biggest heart and the saddest track record—because all he wants in life is a friend. When he meets other cats, he does everything right: soft chirps, slow approaches, rolling onto his back to show his belly, gently sidling up to say “please love me.” And every time, he’s been met with hisses, swats, and rejection. You can almost see his little heart break.

But not with Galway.

From the moment they met, everything changed. Galway absolutely adored Benito from the beginning - she melts into him, purring nonstop as he fusses over her. The feeling is clearly mutual as Benito gently grooms and snuggles with her, and watches over her like the devoted parent she never had. Together, they are pure magic: a perfect blend of comfort, playfulness, and deep, mutual affection.

The ideal home for Benito & Galway would be with an experienced cat person who understands overstimulation and feline boundaries as well as a calm environment where Benito can feel safe and not overwhelmed.

Galway has found the comfort and security every kitten deserves. Benito has finally found the friend he’s been searching for his whole life. We are looking for a very special adopter who will open their heart to both of them—because some bonds are simply meant to be.

Read more about Benito here - this dynamic duo must be adopted together!

Galway is scheduled to be spayed and her surgery will be covered by FFGW at a partner vet
