Galileo's Story

GALILEO is a male-neutered short hair tabby/calico cat, born about March 2021. We have no details of his early life. His owner of four years very reluctantly surrendered him (and Rogelio) to YAPS late Jan. 2026. Their family with two babies living in an apartment had created financial, space, and time issues caring for the two cats. Per the prior owner: "Galileo is a great cat - loves to cuddle and be near you all the time; he's very calm & gentle - good with children and other cats." We find him to be: stressed from the recent loss of his prior home of four years, so he currently doesn't come to you for affection. But, he likes being petted in his resting place. With a calm, gentle approach, he loves being picked up, and held in your lap/arms as long as you wish. He gets along well with other cats.

Yucaipa Animal Placement Society's Adoption Policy
The adoption fee includes spay or neuter surgery, vaccines and a microchip for dogs and cats. We do a thorough assessment of the animal’s temperament and needs so that we can find both them and you the companion of a lifetime. Our goal is to adopt out pets into permanent, loving homes. The YAPS Team is here to help you choose a pet that will fit in with your lifestyle and bring harmony to your home. YAPS does not currently offer transport for adopters outside of our surrounding area. Adopters must adopt a pet in person at our facility or adoption events.
