Gabriel's Story

Gabriel has to be one of the sweetest boys in the world! This approximately six-year-old boy (born in summer 2019) just loves, loves, loves to cuddle! He is the consummate lap cat -- laps, shoulders, any kind of human body contact is good as far as Gabriel is concerned. He also sleeps with his foster mom every night. He enjoys playing with wand toys and tunnels and gets along well with other cats. Gabriel was diagnosed with epilepsy and is on a twice-daily medication to prevent seizures (the cost is approximately $15 a month); his condition is well-controlled with the medication. He is also on a prescription urinary care diet: as Gabriel once had to have surgery to remove bladder stones, it's very important he remain on a prescription urinary diet to help prevent stones from forming in the future. We're adopting Gabriel on a medical scholarship that will cover one annual wellness exam per year. We will also provide a two-month supply of food to get him started! We know Gabriel has some special needs, but he is a very, very special cat--his future family will be very lucky to have him!

Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
We are a small, volunteer-run, foster-based private rescue. All of our cats have been fostered in private homes and will never go up for adoption straight off the street. We know their personalities and preferences, likes and dislikes, and any special needs they may have. This information helps us to ensure that each cat is matched with the perfect family during the adoption process. While our adoption process is more intricate than that of some other organizations, our goal is to make sure our cats are placed in the best possible lifelong homes. Some of our cats live in an adoption center at the Dover, Del. PetSmart, while others are in foster homes. We can set up meetings with individual cats following approval of an adoption application. Our adoption application and full list of adoption policies can be found here: https://www.purrfecthavencatrescue.org/adoption-form Our standard cat adoption fee is $90 for adult cats and $115 for kittens under the age of one year. For purebred and purebred/purebred-cross cats our fees range from $125-$200.
