Gable 's Story

Gable was rescued from a shelter. He's around 2-3 years of age and is both neutered and declawed. He's a big boy at 18 lbs. He's overweight but he's also just a large kitty.

Gable's first foster family sent him back to us after a day or two because he was "too big". We're happy that his second foster family gave him the chance to win them over! His new foster mom - who calls him Mr. Romeo - writes:

"Gable's first night with us has already got me loving him. What a total little lovebug this big guy is! He has the loudest purr I've ever heard! He's also a complete Romeo in the affection dept. and LOVES all the petting, chin scratching and sweet talk that is offered his way. After about an hour or so, he decided to crawl right up onto my stomach and there curled right up into a little ball (well, a bigger little ball, what with his size), and fell fast asleep."

He's fitting in beautifully and does fine with the other cats in the household. She also went on to say she can't imagine why anyone would give him up. He has a winning purr-sonality and whoever adopts this fellow will be delighted with him.

Gable went to a trial home on Jan. 6... and on Jan. 31 he was adopted!
