Gabby's Story

Gabby is a sweet and silly kitten who loves treats and pets!

Gabby really lights up when you bring out the wand toy; her huntress side shines and she loves to stalk and pounce on feather or ball toys - especially if they have bells! When she’s not playing, she loves to have a soft quiet nook to lay in and is the perfect work from home buddy as she just likes to hang out and chill while you work. She won’t try to retype your papers or barge in on your zoom calls, when the wand toy isn’t involved - she a delightfully peaceful and calm presence.

She’s not quite a lap cat yet but does enjoy curling up next to her people for snuggles, especially if chin and butt scritches are involved. Once she knows you're her person, she will always greet you with happy purrs.

Gabby has tested positive for FeLV which weakens her immune system. It isn’t contagious to humans or dogs, but it can be contagious to cats that are negative so any other cats in the house should also be FeLV positive. She's really playful, so she'd do best in a home with another FeLV kitty - she'd love to meet your FeLV kitty or be adopter with her buddy Zooks! Check out his profile too.

Cats who test positive for FeLV as adults can often live an average amount of years, but since kitten’s immune systems are weaker, life expectancy normally isn’t that great. For this reason, we are looking for some angel adopters who are prepared to deal with any medical issues that could come up. Gabby doesn’t know she has this devastating disease and is really just a sweet, loving kitten who would love nothing more than a forever home filled with a soft place to sleep and neverending chin scratches.

For more photos and videos of Gabby, you can check out her foster’s Instagram - Dizzellen

If you're interested or have any questions, please reach out! adoption@acatsliferescue.org
