She's a little shy at first and likes to take her time getting to know new people and places, but once you've earned her trust, you'll discover an incredibly loving, playful girl who adores her people. She loves her best friend Leo, but is hit or miss with her foster mom's cat. She was reported to be good with family dogs of her former owner, but doesn't always vibe with her foster mom's dog (an energetic Labrador). She might do better with smaller and/or calmer dogs though. <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Gabby was rescued through Happy Feet Pet Rescue out of the Lansing, MI area. We are a majority foster based rescue where our pets are living in home environments so that we can provide you the most accurate information possible on how they acclimate to various households (which includes children, busy environments, cats, and other dogs).<br/><br/>We stand for intentional adoptions and do not grant on a first application first to adopt. We thoroughly review your application, read your stories and want to make sure we are giving you a great match in your next dog or cat furry friend.<br/><br/>We do have a few policies already established by our Board of Directors to help us minimize returns and ensure that our animals are living their best life. <br/><br/><br/> <br/> We do not adopt any of our large breed dogs into apartment settings<br/> <br/> <br/> We do not adopt out our cats to be outdoor cats<br/> <br/> <br/> We do not declaw our cats and nor do we adopt out our cats to be declawed<br/> <br/> <br/> You must be 21 years of old to adopt with us<br/> <br/> <br/> If adopting with roommates please gain consent from them prior to applying<br/> <br/> <br/> If you rent, you must list your apartment complex and contact to confirm that you can have a pet.<br/> <br/><br/><br/> Ready to adopt, please visit our website and complete an adoption application. We usually take 5-7 business days to review the application, check your references, and inquire on any follow up questions.
