Frito's Story

Frito is a beautiful female kitten with a striking black and orange tortoiseshell coat and a truly unique pattern all her own. She and her sister, Dorito, were found living outdoors in a trailer park and were safely secured by a local grassroots rescue organization. They were then brought to us at the start of December to wait safely for their forever homes.

Frito is a playful little girl who loves to explore and have fun, especially when she feels comfortable. She can be a bit shy at first and may need some time to warm up, but with patience and a gentle approach, her sweet personality begins to shine.

While Frito does not need to be adopted with her sister Dorito, we do want potential adopters to know they are related in case keeping them together is something you'd like to consider. Because Frito gains confidence from being around other cats, we recommend that she be adopted either with Dorito, with another confident kitten, or into a home that already has a confident resident cat who can help her feel safe and assured.

Frito is looking for a loving home that will give her the time, companionship and encouragement she needs to grow into the confident, happy cat she's meant to be. If you're willing to let her blossom at her own pace, Frito will reward you with playful moments and a special bond all her own.

The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!
