Freya & Ginny (Bonded Sisters)'s Story

****Bonded Sisters 6 months old***

Freya and Ginny are a bonded pair of Short-hair Orange Tiger Tabbies. They are a bit shy but both of them are very loving once they come to trust you.

Freya is the more out-going of the two and is more likely to want to explore beyond her ‘safe space’ and is more likely to seek human affection. She is not yet fond of being picked up and often likes to roll onto her side or back when receiving affection specifically to make it harder to pick her up, yet she craves affection and will sometimes use her paws to grab your hand when taken away. Freya is a licker, meaning she gives affectionate licks to the hand that is petting her.

Ginny can be visually distinguished from Freya in that her fur is a little darker and she has a more distinct white patch on her throat. She is definitely more shy than Freya and less likely to explore as quickly, but she will explore a few days after Freya starts exploring. Freya does still sped most of her time hidden but she is receptive to human affection. When she is being particularly affectionate, Ginny will give love bites but they are soft love bites, she does not use her teeth.

Both Freya and Ginny like their litter box to be clean and will make a mess by scratching litter all over the place if they think it is not clean enough, so in a multi-cat house, the litter box must be cleaned at least twice a day.

They do get along with other cats, Freya is more likely to play with other cats than Ginny, but Ginny will socialize and play with other cats once she feels comfortable with them.

At first they did not like wet food but in the past few days they have started eagerly eating it. The dry food they like the best is ‘Purina One Plus Healthy Kitten Formula’ but they eat other dry food as well. Freya is more likely to eat with other cats present, Ginny at least currently prefers other cats not be present when she eats but she will eat from a community dry dispenser.

Both Freya and Ginny prefer to drink from a cat fountain but they will drink from a water bowl.

They both have beautiful round eyes that absolutely melt the soul and they both have a heavy purr.

These special girls are a work in progress! They will thrive in a home with someone who understands their needs. Patience, love and compassion. A home where they can live on their terms.

Adoption fee is $300 which includes the following:
Spay/Neuter
deworming
age appropriate vaccinations
microchips

If you are interested in Freya & Ginny you can message us here or fill out an adoption application at ohanappr.org.
