Freya's Story

Meet Freya - 1.5 years old

Freya was found living on the streets of Brantford and she was very friendly but also very pregnant.

Most of Freya’s journey so far has been focused on being a mom and she is ready to discover who she is beyond motherhood. She ended up with 6 babies that have kept here very busy, but they are all old enough that she can now move on from her babies.

Freya is a very happy loving cat and will purr up a storm the moment you show her any attention. She loves being pet, especially if you scratch her neck! She doesn't care too much for toys but adores being brushed. Freya is also extremely food motivated and loves treats of any kind.

Due to Freya's pregnancy, she mostly spent her time in foster care in her own room and has just begun to experience life as a “typical” house cat. She will need some time and patience while she learns this. Freya would thrive in a quiet household and would do well as the only cat. However, older/calmer pets who are willing to give her space may work as well.

She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She will need 2 more boosters. Adoption Fee: $225

If you are interested in adopting please apply here: https://chcrrescue.ca/adoption-application/

Cambridge Homeless Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Potential adopters are required to complete an online application. Once complete, we contact their vet clinic for a reference. Once this is complete and during transfer, the adopters sign a paper contract outlining both ours and their responsibilities post adoption. We ask that cats not be permitted outdoors, no declawing and we ask that for any reason they cannot keep the cat, it is returned to us and not rehomed by them. We offer post-adoption counselling to help address any issues that may arise following adoption.

Freya is from Cambridge Homeless Cat Rescue

Our Mission
Currently, there are estimated to be 140,000 homeless cats in Waterloo Region. Our goal is to reduce this number to zero by rehoming social cats and providing spay/neutering of cats being returned to the streets (TNR) thereby controlling the cat population.
