Freddie's Story

This sweet boy was in a home with other cats and he simply wasn't happy. He's so unhappy, that it gave him health issues, most of which have been resolved, but he stayed quarantined to help him avoid stress. His current owner has repeatedly taken him to the vet and all agree it would be best to find Freddie a home with no other cats and a chill family! Freddie is now in a low stress foster home and doing great! We agree with the vets that he should be on a prescription diet for the rest of his life to avoid further stress induced bladder swelling. Therefore, an adopter must be committed to a low stress environment, prescription diet and regular vet visits.

This gentle giant Maine Coon mix can be seen by appointment after filling in an application from felinematchmakers.org. You must be over 21 and live in the Wilmington, NC area to adopt.
