Fred's Story

Fred came to us after he was picked up as a stray. He was just a tiny guy and under 10lbs, now Fred is almost 19 lbs!! We did get Fred into the vet right away to be fixed and vaccinated and tested and that's when we did find out Fred is FIV positive. While the name can sound scary, many FIV+ cats live long, happy, normal lives.

• FIV only affects cats and cannot spread to people or other pets.
• It is mainly spread through deep bite wounds, not through sharing bowls, litter boxes, grooming, or cuddling.
• Many FIV+ cats can live peacefully with other friendly cats.
• Keeping them indoors with regular vet care helps them stay healthy.
FIV+ cats are just as loving, playful, and deserving of a home as any other cat.

Please email us for more information on Fred!
