FRAZETTA's Story
This handsome fella is FRAZETTA, a 5 year old male that was brought in as a stray and was never claimed. Poor FRAZETTA came to us in pretty rough shape, he had big sores behind his ears as well as lots of scabs on his head which we suspect was just from fighting all of the other male cats on the streets. His skin has improved a lot since being here and now his fur is finally starting to grow back. He is having a bit of a hard time with the shelter environment though, he likes to hide for the most part and doesn’t love being pet although he occasically accepts the attention. We would love to find him a quiet home where he can just decompress, learn that not all humans are bad and that he can feel safe with them. We believe he was probably a stray cat his whole life so it may take him quite some time to fully come around. Unfortunately, FRAZETTA is FIV+ so he would need to be the only cat in a home or in a home with other FIV+ cats.

*Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is a slow-acting virus that weakens a cat’s immune system, making them more susceptible to infections. It is transmitted primarily through deep bite wounds during fights and cannot be passed to humans. While not curable, many FIV+ cats live long, normal lives with proper indoor care, low stress, and good nutrition*
