Franklin's Story

Looking for a big, soft, endlessly lovable companion? Meet Franklin, affectionately known as Frank the Tank - a 14-pound teddy bear of a cat with the densest, softest fur you’ve ever touched. Though he’s not a traditional lap cat, Franklin has his own special way of showing affection. He loves stretching out beside you, rolling onto his fluffy back for belly rubs, and offering the sweetest, most deliberate head bumps when he’s ready for snuggles. Curious, charming, and wonderfully energetic, he’s the perfect balance of independent and affectionate.

Franklin enjoys relaxing nearby and keeping you company, but he also has a playful streak. When he sits up on his back legs batting at a fishing pole toy with his big bear paws, he looks just like a little red panda in action. He also gets the cutest scrunchy face when happily chewing on his toys. He enjoys chasing lasers, wrestling with his foster brothers, and simply being part of a peaceful home. Franklin does well with other friendly cats as long as he’s given a few days to settle in.

Like many playful cats, Franklin occasionally likes to roughhouse. He’s been known to wake his people by nibbling toes through the covers or pouncing on the bed — the classic “blanket monster” game, if that sounds familiar. It’s all in good fun, but given his size and enthusiasm, he may not be the best fit for very young children or someone looking for a quiet, low-energy companion.

Franklin is an intelligent, big-hearted boy who loves being near his people. He isn’t demanding — except when it comes to food or closed doors — but his gentle presence and silly personality make him a constant source of smiles. With his belly rolls, playful antics, and affectionate head bumps, Franklin brings warmth and laughter wherever he goes.

Franklin would thrive in a loving home that appreciates an active, affectionate cat with a big personality. Another friendly feline companion would be a bonus, though it isn’t required, and a calm environment where he can enjoy both playtime and companionship would be ideal.

Franklin is fully vetted, was born 4/27/2022, has an adoption fee of $90, and can be adopted outside the immediate Tulsa area.
