These two were not dealt the easiest start, and while they may greet new situations with hisses, it’s important to know this comes from fear — never aggression.<br/><br/>They are shy, skittish, and sometimes hard to get your hands on… but once you do, they often surprise you. With gentle handling, they are actually quite receptive to being pet, and their walls come down little by little. Their progress may be slow, but it is real — and incredibly rewarding to witness.<br/><br/>Franklin and Amber are extremely food- and play-motivated, which makes them wonderful candidates for trust-building through routine, enrichment, and positive reinforcement. Wand toys, treats, and mealtimes are the fastest way to their hearts. They are also great with other cats and take comfort in feline companionship, but they truly need each other most of all.<br/><br/>Because of their sensitive nature, Franklin and Amber will do best in:<br/>- A quiet home<br/>- With an experienced cat owner<br/>- No small children<br/>- Starting off in a small, secure space where they can feel safe and decompress<br/><br/>With patience, consistency, and respect for their boundaries, these two will blossom beautifully — and they’ll do it side by side.
