Frankie's Story

Meet pretty girl Frankie!

If youv'e visited us out at the shelter, you might think you've seen Frankie before. As soon as we met her, we were immediately struck by her resemble to our own office cat, Percy. While we would never get rid of Percy, we know she's a crowd favorite and we have people ask to adopt her all of the time. Well, if you were one of those people, then consider Frankie!

Frankie is an 11 year old Domestic Long Haired cat. She was rescued from a hoarding situation, but unfortunately the cats in her new home did not want a sister. Now, she's with us hoping to finally find a forever home!

Frankie took no time at all to warm up, and was immediately ready to explore our cat room! She's been a pretty chill cat, and she loves being pet and held. While I was trying to take pictures of her, she just wanted to be as close to me as possible, and kept rubbing up on my legs. She really is such a gentle sweetheart, and she would make the perfect cuddle companion.

Frankie has lived with other cats and small dogs before and did well with them. It is important to note, though, that in her previous home Frankie was very submissive to other animals, almost to a fault. This led to them bullying her, and oftentimes they would gang up on her. She will not be a good fit for homes with very dominant animals, as we want to make sure she's not getting picked on in her new home. Frankie has not been around kids before to our knowledge, but with how loving she's been here, we don't think she'd have a problem with them.

With Frankie getting older, it is going to be important that whoever adopts her is prepared for the twists and turns that aging brings. She is going to need regular check ups with your vet to ensure she's staying healthy, and receiving all of the care she needs. She hasn't shown us any health problems yet, and with proper care she can still give you years of love! She also is going to need help grooming herself as she gets older. She has gorgeous long fur, and it can be difficult for senior cats to keep it in shape on their own.

Don't let Frankie's age make you discount her - whoever gets to take this sweetheart home should count themself lucky, as she is truly such a special cat! If you think Frankie could be your new buddy, stop by and meet her today!
