Francis: Courtesy Post's Story

Francis is an affectionate, sweet, and loving cat toward people he knows and feels comfortable with. He has an incredibly soft coat and he's adorable to look at. When he initially meets someone, he will hide and gradually come out and approach, especially if the person is offering treats. He loves to play with wands, feathers, catnip toys, and balls. He uses scratching posts.

Francis absolutely loves other cats and would ideally do best living with at least one cat. He loves to snuggle up on trusted people and cats. He is a bit of a picky eater and takes his time. He was raised in a garage and never picked up, brushed, or given much human attention for the first couple years of his life so he is not used to be picked up or carried around. Getting him in a carrier is a challenge. He is easily scared and fearful and does best around people who do not startle him or make sudden moves. He takes a little time to warm up in general. Francis would be an excellent addition to any person or family interested in a loving, tender, and sweet cat who's playful and quiet at the same time.

Francis has been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. It is not causing him any problems and he is not taking any medication. He's FIV and FeLV negative and neutered.

Contact Amy Vent / amyhvent@gmail.com / 646-581-8377 to apply!
