These kittens are part of Pinellas County Animals Services Foster To Adopt Program, which was developed to help the shelter find homes for kittens not quite ready for full adoption.<br/><br/>How it works:<br/><br/>• You select a kitten from the Pinellas County Animal Services Foster to Adopt Nursery.<br/>• You pass the requirements that are needed to adopt a pet from the shelter (information available at Pinellas County Animal Services adoption desk.)<br/>• You take the kitten home and foster it until it is two (2) pounds (usually about 3 weeks).<br/>• You return the kitten in 3 weeks for the free second vaccine and parasite treatment that is required for the kitten’s health and get the kitten spayed or neutered. If the kitten is not returned for medical treatment, an Animal Control Officer will retrieve the kitten from you.<br/>• If a medical issue arises you can bring the kitten in for care by the Pinellas County Animal Services medical staff at no additional charge during the pre-adoption period.<br/><br/>This program helps the shelter:<br/><br/>• To save lives.<br/>• To provide a healthy social and physical environment for the kittens development.<br/>• Provide an important service to Pinellas County by reducing sick kittens in our community.<br/><br/>Your benefits include:<br/><br/>• A wonderful new member of your family with two sets of vaccines and parasite treatment already given.<br/>• Support should medical conditions arise during the kittens early weeks.<br/>• Lots of fun and love!
