FORREST's Story

Forest is a sweet, young male cat who has come into our care through no fault of his own and is now looking for a loving forever home. He has previously lived with other cats and did well in their company, making him a great candidate for a multi-cat household. While his history with dogs is unknown, he has been around children and has done well, though, as with any pet, gentle and respectful interactions—especially with younger kids—are always important.

Forest is known for being very clean and tidy, which makes him an easy companion to care for. He has a sensitive side and can become frightened by loud noises or raised voices, so he would thrive best in a calm and reassuring environment where he can feel safe. When he’s feeling unsure, Forest may choose to hide until he’s comfortable again, and he’ll need a patient adopter who understands and respects his need for quiet time.

Despite his shy moments, Forest is full of energy and affection. He’s a playful, lively boy who loves to stay active, but he’s also a true “love bug” who forms strong bonds with his people. Once he feels secure, he’ll happily stick close by your side, soaking up attention and companionship. With a little patience and a lot of love, Forest is sure to blossom into a devoted and delightful member of the family. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is $100
