Fontina's Story

I can be a scary cat, I don't really understand why I'm at the shelter and will need an understanding human to help me learn the ropes of being an companion cat. I try to avoid being too close to the people who visit me here, I prefer to hide and let the other cats I share a room with get all the attention. I have started to accept pets and the occasional cuddle from my caretakers here, but people I don't see on a regular basis scare me. I will need time to get used to having the attention of humans, but I am litterbox trained and overtime everyone here believes in the right home I will thrive. If your home is the home for me, please submit an application for me today!

This 1 year old purrfect feline’s adoption donation is $75 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine, flea/tick preventative, and dewormer. Please fill out an adoption application at www.safehavenforpets.org. If you have any further questions, please email safehaven1471@gmail.com or call 815-858-2265.

Once someone picks out a cat or a dog they would like to adopt from us, we ask them to fill out an adoption application on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. After the application is reviewed (within 1 to 2 business days) we will try to contact the applicant by calling or emailing them. If the adoption is approved, we will then try to set up a day and time that the adopters can come to the shelter to pick up their new pet! At that time we will have the new owners sign some paperwork and provide us with the adoption donation fee. The adoption donation fee for a dog is $200. The adoption donation fee for a cat is $75.
