Flynn's Story

FLYNN (DOB @6/01/23) male
@10 lbs

Flynn was found sitting by himself on Sawmill Rd. in front of the deserted Iaconno's restaurant. He was just a kitten sitting out on the front of the empty restaurant entryway. Waiting. Waiting.

We saw him and went back to get him. He came into rescue as a happy @ 9 months old kitten and has been in foster care for over a year.

Unfortunately, in an handling mistake during a veterinary visit, Flynn was dropped, a dog injured him and he was chased by multiple people before he was caught, frantic and terrified.

Since this incident, we have been unable to handle Flynn at all. He still comes to his foster purring, in a shy way, wanting to be with them…but if there is a large noise, if they move to quickly or try to pick him up, he freaks out. He is terrified. He was such a love bug (he was carried around like a baby …. Now he stands back wanting to be with people but afraid.

He’s one of the sweetest boys we have ever had in the program….and yet here he remains without a home of his own terrified of being picked up or grabbed. He will come to you putting loudly and knead when petted…but if you try to pick him up…he is gone. Terrified!

He gets along with every cat he meets. He is so sweet….we don’t know if he’ll ever be normal and not afraid again.

He has been living in a foster home with many other foster cats and kittens since the incident. He may never have a home if his own.

If you want to talk more about this boy or have ideas to help him, please complete an Adoption Application at https://form.jotform.com/251950332045046g
