Fluffy's Story

Courtesy post plea for help from Jonathan:

“My friend and I took in several feral cats a while ago. Most are now socialized and many are bonded pairs/families. Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. We are looking for good homes for them.

We are located in Clinton, MD (southern PG County). The best method of reaching us is: zcathouse.md@gmail.com”

Fluffy (SF, Brown Tabby + White, DMH?, ~6+ years?)

Another former member of the Walgreens colony, along with her two children, Flower and Tux (listed separately). Fluffy, or 'Fluff', also had a couple of other offspring who were trapped by a passerby who only had an interest in helping the kittens. Unfortunately, Fluffy hasn't warmed up to us hardly and still retains most of her feral demeanor. For that reason, we would recommend she be placed in a non-traditional indoor environment... and due to her small size we would prefer to avoid having her go back outside, so perhaps an enclosed barn, business in need of rodent control (ex. brewery), or something along those lines. Then again, if there was someone with the knowledge and know-how willing and able to bring a mostly feral cat into their home, that would be fine too. It's always possible she could adjust better under different circumstances.

***Disclaimer*** Unfortunately, there are not enough rooms at the inn to admit every dog that needs a furever home. But, we still want to help those dogs (and cats) on their journey! By courtesy posting, AAHA is offering our website/network as an additional resource to help an owner or shelter gain additional exposure for the dog they are trying to place. AAHA has not met nor evaluated the dog (or cat) we are courtesy posting. AAHA makes no representation about courtesy posted pets including the health and temperament and accepts no liability in this exchange. Arrangements for adoptions are made between the caretaker of the pet and the potential adopter.
